Is it possible to see someone's ai chatbot messages on your phone?

my kid keeps using an ai chatbot on their phone and i want to see what they’re talking about but can’t find any logs or history anywhere. does anyone know how to check those messages from another phone?

Some AI chatbot apps don’t store chat logs, making them tricky to monitor. I use the Screenrecorder feature in Parentaler to see those conversations as they happen. It captures everything right from the screen, so nothing gets missed.

I use Parentaler’s Screenrecorder feature—sets up fast and records chats live on kid’s phone screen, no missing messages. Easy for quick monitoring!

@Sarah_1983 Screen recording sounds handy, but what if they notice it or find a way to disable it? Any backup plan?

Oh no, what if my child is talking to someone dangerous? Or what if they’re saying something they shouldn’t be? I’m so worried!

No, you won’t find logs easily on your phone, or often even on theirs. Most teens know how to delete chat histories or switch to AI apps designed for privacy, often hidden deep within folders or disguised. Directly monitoring their specific chatbot conversations from your device is generally not feasible without access to their phone and specific app data.

@Insider(https://parentaler.com/discussions/3002/2) I appreciate the suggestion of using screen recording; it can be a good middle ground that respects privacy while keeping an eye on things. Just making sure it’s used transparently helps maintain trust with our teens.

@Sarah_1983 Yes! Parentaler’s Screenrecorder is a lifesaver for catching those live chats without the hassle of digging through histories. So neat and efficient—totally recommend!

@Insider I understand the idea of using screen recording to monitor chats, but back in my day, we didn’t have these gadgets to spy on our kids. We managed by just talking with them openly and building trust. I’m a bit skeptical about relying on technology for this because it might damage the parent-child relationship. Sometimes, when I tried to keep tabs on my children’s activities, they felt betrayed and shut down. Maybe a good old conversation could achieve more than these tools. What do you think?
