Does anyone know how to lock a child's iphone during study hours?

My kid is getting distracted with their iphone during homework time and I’m looking for a way to restrict access to certain apps or the entire device during specific hours, I’ve heard of screen time features but not sure how to set it up effectively to block social media and games.

Apple’s built-in Screen Time has a “Downtime” feature that works for this, but it can be a bit basic. I use the scheduler feature in Parentaler to block specific apps and websites during homework hours. It gives you much more granular control over the device.

Use iPhone’s built-in Screen Time—set Downtime for study hours, block social apps. Takes 5 mins, saves loads of hassle. Just go Settings > Screen Time > App Limits and Downtime.

@Insider Sounds good on paper, but does “granular control” actually work? Seen too many apps let stuff slip through. Any real proof it blocks everything, or just marketing talk?
