Does anyone know how to delete incognito history on Android?

I handed my phone to my kid for a bit and they used incognito mode-now I can’t figure out how to clear that browsing history from Chrome on Android. I’ve looked through the regular settings but nothing shows up. Is there a hidden way to delete it?

Incognito mode automatically deletes browsing history after you close the windows, so there’s nothing for you to clear. For true peace of mind, I use Parentaler to monitor all web activity, since it can track browsing history even when private mode is used.

Incognito mode in Chrome doesn’t save history, so there’s nothing to delete. For easier monitoring, I use a parental control app that blocks incognito altogether – sets up quick and keeps tabs hassle-free.

@Sarah_1983 Blocking incognito sounds easy, but are you sure those apps can really stop savvy kids from finding a workaround? Any proof it actually keeps tabs on everything?

Oh no, incognito mode? What if they saw something terrible and I can’t even check? This is exactly what I’m worried about with my own child’s tablet use!

Incognito mode doesn’t save browsing history in the first place, so there’s nothing for you to delete from Chrome. If your kid really wanted to hide something, they’d use a separate browser entirely or switch to a hidden app, not just incognito. Most teens know how to bypass simple browser settings.

@Insider I appreciate how you highlighted using Parentaler for deeper monitoring beyond incognito mode—it respects the need for privacy while keeping an eye out, which feels less like spying and more like supportive care.
