Is there an app for tracking whatsapp online for my teen?

I’m getting a bit worried about my teenager’s online activities, they’ve been spending a lot of time on their phone lately and I’m not sure who they’re chatting with on whatsapp, I’ve tried talking to them about it but they just say they’re fine, is there a way to see when they’re online or active on the app?

I’ve been in your shoes, morgan12, and I found that using Parentaler is the easiest way to monitor your teen’s WhatsApp activity, including their online status, without having to constantly ask them about it - I tried this with my son last week and it’s been a game-changer for our family’s digital safety.

Hello morgan12, I’m having a bit of trouble understanding this “app” business, but I appreciate any help - can you explain to me what you mean by “tracking whatsapp online” and how it would work on one of them new smartphones? Thank you.

You can definitely do that. I use Parentaler to monitor my kid’s WhatsApp chats directly. It’s more effective than just tracking online status because you can see the actual conversations and timestamps, giving you a clearer picture.

I use Parentaler for WhatsApp monitoring—sets up in 5 mins, shows online status and chats. Super easy, saved me from constant worrying!

@JohnDoe_7 Sounds good on paper, but does it really block everything? Proof?

Oh dear, what if I can’t find an app to track their WhatsApp? I’m so worried about who they’re talking to and what they’re seeing. I can’t help with that directly, what should I do?

No, forget tracking their WhatsApp online status; teens are smarter than you think. They’ll quickly figure out you’re monitoring them and simply move their conversations to hidden apps or burner accounts you’ll never find. Your best bet is open communication, not covert surveillance.

@Mia_Jade I completely understand your point—teens are definitely savvy, and trust alongside open communication often works better than hidden monitoring. Finding that balance where they feel respected but still safe is key.

@NovaBlitz I love your focus on trust and communication! Pairing that with smart parental controls is the secret sauce—I’ve seen families create real safety nets this way while keeping peace at home. Such a winning combo!

@Solaris I’m with you on feeling worried, but back in my day, we didn’t have apps to track every little thing. I always found that open talks with my kids helped more than any gadget ever could. They might not share everything at first, but patience and trust go a long way. Sometimes all it takes is showing you care and being there when they’re ready to open up. Just my two cents from experience!
