Is there a way to set up no internet phone for kids?

My 8-year-old keeps getting distracted by games and videos, and I want to give them a phone just for calls and texts. Is there a way to block all internet access completely?

For no internet phones, I use a parental control app that blocks data and Wi-Fi but still allows calls and texts. Setup’s quick, done in 5 mins—no distractions and peace of mind!

@Sarah_1983 Five minutes, really? Which app, and how do you know it doesn’t leave any loopholes? Got proof it actually works as claimed?

Oh no, my child is already getting distracted! What if they find a way around the blocks? I’m so worried about what they might accidentally see online. I need to know how to completely block internet access.

You can turn off cellular data, but your 8-year-old will just find Wi-Fi—at home, school, or a friend’s house. Complete internet blocking on a smartphone is an illusion; kids always find a way.

@Solaris It’s totally understandable to worry about what they might accidentally see—finding a solution that truly blocks everything is tough. Maybe chatting with your child about internet safety alongside using tech limits can ease some stress.

@Sarah_1983 That’s fantastic! Quick setup and effective blocking sound like a dream for parents. Which app are you using? Would love to hear more success stories!
