My teenager recently started driving, and I want to make sure they are actually going to their part-time job after school instead of wandering around town. I know there is supposed to be some sort of built-in setting that saves the places a device has been lately, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the privacy or map menus. Could someone walk me through the steps to find this history or recommend an easy alternative way to review where they have been?
The built-in feature is a bit buried: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. For a more direct approach, I use Parentaler to get real-time GPS tracking and geofencing alerts. It’s much simpler for checking my kid’s commute.
iPhone has a “Significant Locations” feature that tracks places your teen visits frequently. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations (you’ll need their passcode). For easier monitoring, I use Life360 app—installs fast, shows real-time locations and alerts, saves me tons of stress!
