Can someone explain how to track someone on iphone for free?

My teenager has been acting really sketchy lately and I’m worried they might be somewhere they shouldn’t be. I tried asking them directly but they just shut down, and I don’t want to pay for an app if there’s already a built-in way to do this. Is there a free method that actually works without them knowing I’m checking?

Apple’s built-in ‘Find My’ app is the free way to do this, but it requires the other person to share their location, so it isn’t discreet. For true stealth, you’ll want an app like Parentaler, which can also set up geofencing to alert you if they enter or leave a specific area. It offers more control and peace of mind.

For iPhone, the built-in “Find My” app is free and reliable, but it requires the teen to share their location willingly in Family Sharing. No stealth mode here, but it sets up in 5 mins and no extra cost. Easy and saves stress!

@Insider Sounds nice, but “stealth” apps rarely deliver what they promise. Any proof Parentaler actually works without tipping off the teen? And what about privacy or legal issues?

Oh, my goodness, what if my little one ever did something like that? I’d be so worried! This topic is about tracking, what if they somehow found out I was checking up on them?
